I count myself the luckiest being,

having you as my friend, because

jackal, jackass, jack-knife and jejune

was once the meaning of the world to me,

the world is a jack-in-the-box.

I was once a jailbird crooning in my own jailhouse:

always in solitude, everything was irksome,

the people’s flippant tone irked me so much.

My heart always welcomed irruption;
east, west, north and south were irritants
irking me, especially by some things
they continuously do, or
by some things that continuously happen.

I thought that all that had gone
were irrecoverable, but now
I see and welcome life as irrefutable,
as irregular, as irresistible,
without considering something or being influenced by it.

I was once like an island, not surrounded by water,
but by leeches, loafers and lunatics;
those were calling me their friends.

But since I came to know you,
life is now like a marriage
that was held in heaven, to me,
because of the immeasurable and incalculable
unconditional love you have shown me,
breaking the scope in the wheel of my happiness.
