KWENU! Our culture, our future

 The Soul of New Jersey

A tribute by M. O. Ené to the Momahs, Nnabuenyi Nnewi & Arunne,

on their relocation from New Jersey, USA, Saturday, February 18, 2006

Arunne, the only Adaigbo without number:

Not one comes close to sharing the chamber

The mother of all that deserve motherliness

You are the jubilation of fabulous fairness

Nnabuenyi, the uncomplicated great giver:

Above Udi Hills and across the Niger River

The Umuahian with no mean bone in his body

The tall tower of truth, ezi enyi to everybody

Arunne and Nnabuenyi, we all say:

You are the soul of our New Jersey

The moral mainstay of Igbo community

The peak pebbles that sustain our sanity

At some peculiar point in our lifelong mission

We stop to say something at a unique occasion

Something special, something to soothe the sole…

What is to say now that sanity has lost its soul?

Arunne, nne bu nne ora

Nnabuenyí, enyě ka ora

Ani chebe unu; udo diri unu

Ka Chi dube ma gozie unu!
