BIAFRA: THE WAY FORWARD

Chinedu Maduabum
(8/8/01)

I count it a privilege for me to have come across one of your special edition of KWENU (Beyond Biafra), which carried the memory of my late granduncle,  whom I never saw in physical life, Stephen Ernest Oranuka Maduabum. He was executed by the Nigerian Government on 7th August 1966 during the Pogrom. May his soul rest in peace. After going through the entire contents, I felt cheated once again in this geographical entity called Niger-Area (Nigeria). It touches me; the way these Biafra heroes have been abandoned by their own kinsmen. Anytime I think of Biafra, one question keep running in my mind: “Will the Igbo (HEBREW) both home and abroad ever be liberated?

Forty years after the independence, the Igbo have not seen the light; thirty years after the war, it is still the same story. The question is: Will the sun ever rise again in the LAND OF THE RISING SUN (BIAFRA)? Well I think, there is an iota of hope in Ifeanyi Anyanwu’s word: "If tomorrow ever comes, the sun must rise as it did today." [KWENU: Beyond Biafra, Reedbuck, 1997] I have learnt over the years not to weep about yesterday because what happened yesterday was meant to be reaped today, and whatever that happens today shall determine the fate of tomorrow. Our forefathers fought for us and not for themselves. Unfortunately, they failed as it was PREDESTINED. Today we are reaping the consequences. But shall we sit back and watch our children go through this pain? That is where I disagree. We have to stand and correct the wrongs of yesterday now, so that our children shall see the sun rise very bright tomorrow.

It is on this background that I have decided to put pen on paper, expressing my own view as one and only way forward for the Igbo. I enjoin you to reason with me because it is not a fiction but a reality.  Biafra is one word that is still a mystery to most of us who were born after the civil war. Even the true meaning cannot be deciphered. I am not after the Biafra anyway; but, if any body can tell me what it means, that will be fine. I am after the reason why the Nigeria-Biafra War was fought between 1967 – 1970, and also why the Igbo are suffering in Nigeria 40 years after the independence and 30 years after the war.

It is no longer news that the Igbo are Jews, not by action but core Jews as one of their ancestors was one of the twelve sons of Jacob. To be precise GAD, to prove doubting Thomas’s wrong, in present day AGULERI, there is OBUGAD. Aguleri is widely believed to be the first son of ERI. This was even confirmed by some Israelis in 1996 that visited Anambra State here in Nigeria. Bible backing has it in Genesis 46. From here henceforth, I will refer to the Igbo as Jews who happened to be in Diaspora as their brothers. The first of the scattering of the Jews in Israel in the 2000 years are after the death of Joshua was in 67 – 70  AD, while the one which affected the Igbo was in the year 1967 – 1970 AD. The mere similarity looks like a coincident. But the fact is:  it was a perfect design, which is only being deciphered today. Thanks to one Dr. Amachi B. Chizota.

It is there in History for any one to read how Emperor Titus, led the Roman solders and invaded Jerusalem, killing so many innocent people and, the worst of all, brought down the Temple. What an abomination! Since then, the Jews have not recovered. Then the most recent of all: This time around, it is General Gowon who led the Nigeria army into Biafra, doing virtually the same thing as Emperor Titus. They destroyed all the sanctuaries in Alaigbo (Igboland). Most of you there in United States will agree with me that it was that incident that lead to your fleeing to the States. The Igbo have not recovered also from that war 30 years after.

Talking about 30, it is widely believed in our African cosmic cosmology that a man is supposed to be married at the age of 30 if the worst happens. Some biblical evidences signifying 30 as a mystery number are: David anointed as king at the age of 30. Christ, 2000 years ago. started his ministration at the same age. Christ, 2000 years after, was expected to fulfill that landmark. In the Jewish custom, 30 always marks the beginning of something new. It is even clear how 30 years after the war, there are strong calls for the re-instatement of the Republic of Biafra by one Chief Ralph Uwazuruike in Nigeria and even most of you out there. We are aware that change does not come so suddenly; it takes time and some meticulous planning. Today I can authoritatively say that that change is taking place as you are reading this article. But very slowly and steadily. When HE shall be revealed, the world will be flabbergasted how the rejected tribe has turned out to be the chosen one.

Another era which the Igbo have also fulfilled is the era of 40. It is the era, which always marks the climax culminating to a very bright beginning. The number forty is a mystery figure. In the Igbo comic philosophy as in their Jewish counterparts, when a woman gives birth to a male child, that woman is bound to stay away from the husband, holy places (Obi), and she is not suppose to cook for the husband throughout a period of 40 days. The first seven days is regarded as her normal periodical uncleanness. After which she will serve another thirty-three days when her mother will come (Omugo). The woman is given a separate place to stay (Mkpuke). This aspect in the Igbo culture is found in the book of Leviticus 12:1-4, (Take note of 7 and 33).

Haven said this far, let us see how the Igbo have fulfilled their period of 40. In the first years after independence there was no rest. From the election fever to the first coup d’état, to another counter coupe; then the pogrom in 1966 which eventually lead to the civil war in 1967 – 1970 A.D. Then peace returned but not to the “woman” who is to produce the “Messiah.” i.e. the tribe from, which the messiah is expected (This calls for wisdom). After then, the Igbo are not just being marginalized but have been living in shadow of hatred and prejudice. The case of sharia riot in Kaduna is a typical example of hatred and despise meted upon the Igbo by those who live with them. Dan Chikwe says it all in his book “Agonies of marginalized people" p18. “I could notice the suffering of the Igbo as a result of their being marginalized in the country occasioning victimization, discrimination, deprivation, frustration, improved aggression and wanton destruction of lives and properties mated out to the Igbos in the geographical entity called Nigeria.”

It is within this period that the Igbo resulted to so may atrocities in the name of surviving, most of which were not in our culture and will not be anyway. Just as in the case of a woman who gives birth to a male child, she will be will be isolated by the husband. If the husbands happen to have another wife, who was always the case before, he switches totally to the other wife. But after the 40 days period, a feast is organized for the woman and son taken to the sanctuary (Obi) for dedication. The Igbo has fulfilled the 40 years just as the 30 years both of them coinciding .It is not just a coincident but a pattern, pointing to the fact that we have finally approach the eschatology. “Today we shall begin to witness change that has never been witnessed in history of man kind. A group men are been raised from the Igbo race, these men will turn the phase of the earth from HELENISM to HEBREWISM, democracy to THEOCRACY. The work these men will do on earth no people has ever done before them and non will do after them fore they will mark the climax and fulfillment of (Revelation 11; 15.)

The physical perspective of 40 has been treated as it affects the Jews in Nigeria. Looking at the metaphysical dimension, which by all standard is the most authentic proof to every physical manifestation. It is no longer new that some one in the capacity of Jesus appeared in some 2000 years ago. The Muslims call him Isa, while the Jews call him Yahoshua, which is interpreted as Joshua in English. Jesus, the Greek interpretation, is the most popular anyway.

This man, historians have it, was born some 2000 years ago which is an established hypothesis, The scripture even confirms it but I will not treat the area of the confirmation in the scripture here but subsequent interaction will answer that. When he left, he promised to come back without a particular date. and for 2000years this man has kept the fanatic Christian world in suspense. The question is how that man’s emergence affects the Jews in Nigeria and all over the world.

Earlier in this article, I explained the importance and benefits of 40 days in the Igbo cosmic cosmology. Seven days for purification and 33 days for Omugo. In the cosmic philosophy of the Jews, a jubilee is marked every fifty years. (Lev. 12:1-4). Now when 2000 is divided into 50, the result will be 40. Going by this calculation, we can clearly decipher that from the time of Christ 2000 years ago till date is more or less 40 jubilees i.e. 2000 / 50J = 40 J How many years are there therefore in 7 jubilees i.e. 2000 / 40 x 7/1 = 350 years.

So, 350 years therefore is the same as 7 days in 40 d days, which the Igbo observe. This period as Historians put it is one of the worst in terms of persecution in the History of the Jews. First was the abomination that caused dissolution between 67-70A.D. which even extended to about 73A.D.(Matt 24;15). Another devastating era was the period of Emperor Nero. It was after Nero’s short-lived period that Constantine declared Christianity as a state religion. The period when the true gospel was hybrided. It seems as if there was peace but not to the Jews who had lost their identity and were in Diaspora. Constantine ruled around 325A.D towards the eschatology of the first seven jubilees From that period till date, the Jews have remained a people without Nation. Even when they returned to geographical Israel in 1948 only few tribes returned, at least the Igbo never. ]

The Igbo were not to returned because the Almighty One of their Ancestors Abraham, Isaac And Jacob wanted to show his supremacy, through the Igbo in this last days as the chosen tribe amongst the Jews in Diaspora. Whose manifestations and blessings shall come after their own bondage and suffering as it is happening in Nigeria today, hence our progenitors Shem, Abram, Gad, Eri, Nri… was caused by “CHUKWU” to be stranger in a foreign land to suffer humiliation and intimidations, political victimization; but will be sifted as corn sifted in a sieve when the new Tabernacle of David shall be restored which the Igbo must produce the king. That is even the reason why the Igbo are without a KING today. The KING of the Igbo shall be the champion of ELOHIMCRACY or in other word theocracy to replace imperialism, capitalism, materialism, democracy above all HELENISM.

Forty jubilees have come coinciding with the pattern co the Igbo in Nigeria. A period of uncleanness, when the Gentiles or the westerners have it all for themselves with religion as their arsenal for their continuous psychological ploy over their preys – the black race more especially.

Today the Messenger of Hebrewism that will replace Hellenism and Theocracy for Democracy is Here. The Igbo have suffered just as it was in the days when we were in Egypt. But behold just as Moses was sent to liberate us in Egypt so has JOSHUA been sent to liberate us today from Nigeria. The sun has finally reason from the east and today we can see the brightness of it. William Marrion Branhan said it all in the mid-sixties when he emerged right there in the USA.

Finally I urge you to inquire the truth and when you find it you shall say, “Truly, I heard it first from the east.”
